I started this series of images back in 2014 using Fuji FP3000B, my favorite type of instant film ever made. I was interested in experimenting with the process, playing with exposure and adding texture through altering the mediums surface.
The idea was to bring texture back into photography, to celebrate imperfections like that which can been seen in examples of nineteenth century photographic printing.
I asked every subject I photographed to place their palms, fingers whatever they chose, onto the negative whilst it was still wet, in order to mark it, to alter it, to create a singular and unique image. Each image hold the physical markings of every individual photographed.
